As you may know, I have the best summer job in the whole wide world... I am a barista at the Black Duck Emporium... the best coffee and gift shop off the coast of Maine!
You know what makes this the best job ever? Not only do I get to drink lattes all day, meet fun and crazy new summer people, keep up with all the Monhegan happenings, AND bring my dog to work... I also get to have my two best friends on island as my bosses! Pretty sweet deal, eh?!
This year we added a new "duck" to our little cafe "flock." Gina, Gina, Gina! Another awesome lady who is a blast to work with. My awesome job got even better.
So when Gina and I heard that National Boss Appreciation Day was coming up we knew we needed to get to work. We met after school to make shirts for ourselves to wear when we took our favorite bosses out for breakfast on the big day!
The front: Pictures of us with our bosses... and it says, "Do you know how to best judge a boss?"
And the back... pretty accurate, right?!
And here are our lovely bosses on the big day! We made them shirt too.
They said, "Best Bosses EVER!" and on the back had our Black Duck group photo. Pretty spiffy.
We love our bosses.
