The Purpose...

In my never-ending quest to be a better person (watch less tv, go on more walks, enjoy the little things, be grateful for every moment... you know, the basics) I wanted to create a kind of "scrapbook" of my last year on Monhegan. Funny thing is, I don't really like scrap booking... but I sure do love a good blog! SO, I figure here I can document my final year on Monhegan. Share photos and thoughts so I can remember the little things that I so love about my life here. This blog is for me just as much as anyone else who stumbles upon it, but I am rather narcissistic so it is fun to share this with those who know how much I have loved my five year journey on this crazy little island.

I am already entering a state of mourning about leaving this place in a year, but hopefully this blog will let me celebrate the day to day humor and joy and pleasures that I encounter, so I don't focus on how much I will miss my life here...

So this is my purpose... enjoy, share, and remember... my final Monhegan year.

First sign of winter approaching... wood delivery!

Puppy and laundry.

Evening sun on the teacher's house.

My new neighbor :)

Mr. Q getting a little "extra credit" helping me stack wood on a Sunday... I wonder if I will ever have a student help me like this again in my career?!

Sunday evening sky.
